“Does this have built in audio or do i need to get a secondary soundcard”

• Not sure if you still need the answer but the answer is yes. Most if not all modern sound cards that connect through HDMI will have audio output as well. Most motherboards should have audio as well. Soundcards are pretty much a thing of the past unless you are doing sometimes of professional work or you are an audiophile.

• I've only used the MSI Radeon RX 5500 XT with the HDMI output connected to the TV, there is sound without having to use an additional sound card. Note: This card does not have MSI or AMD drivers for Windows 8 or 8.1. I had to install in a Windows 10 machine to get all the features. Get drivers from AMD. Take Care.
