Does it matter what gen ssd I use? null

Hello Logan - this motherboard supports 2x M.2 M.2_1 Source (From CPU) supports up to PCIe 4.0 x4 , supports 22110/2280 devices and an M.2_2 Source (From CPU) supports up to PCIe 4.0 x4 , supports 2280/2260 devices. The M2_2 supports PCIe 4.0 x2 speed when Ryzen 8500/ 8300 Series processor is installed.
