The recommended power supply is 550w. I would be safe and go with a 650w.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You probably could depending the rest of your system consumption, but i'd go with 600+ myself
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. On the official MSI page it is recommended to have at least a 550W power supply as this card uses a lot of power to work, but in exchange for that power consumption you end up with more performance than the founders edition 2080 and even the 1080 Ti in some cases.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Recommended is 550w for this card, it alone consumed 225w.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can always get it and see if it works but would recommend slightly higher like at least 750 watt.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wouldn't use anything lowered than 600 watt PSU for this card. However according to reviews this card paird with an AMD 2600X draws around 390-400 watts so in theory 500 watts could work. My PSU is 650 watt gold and I have the AMD 2600X as my CPU with no problems running this card. If you're going to spend $550 plus for this card you might as well include a new PSU from Best Buy. The PSU's listed below shouldn't break the bank while offering solid performance and enough head room for your components. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/evga-80-plus-600w-atx-12v-eps-12v-power-supply-black/8511029.p?skuId=8511029 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/thermaltake-smart-series-650w-bronze-power-supply-black/8733872.p?skuId=8733872 https://www.bestbuy.com/site/thermaltake-tr2-600nl2nc-atx12v-eps12v-power-supply-black/5381884.p?skuId=5381884
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'd advise not to. The box recommends a 550. I use a 600, plenty of room power-wise.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A 500 W power supply is actually the minimum requirement for this graphics card. If you’re using an AMD processor they run hotter, so you’ll probably why you should probably have more fans or liquid cool and to run more fans you’re going any more power. And if you’re an Intel sure they’ll get as hot as much so you can use less fans and get away with a 500 W power supply. I have speed fan which is a free download to put on your PC to help you control your fans and when I open up I usually have it set to boost them to 100% when I start getting busy on my machine. Plus you may want to be able to boost your CPU fan as well and on the MSI up you can of course manually if you want kick your fans on your graphics cart up to 100% if you choose. I went on Amazon and bought a 750 W gold for around 170 bucks or something like that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wouldnt the card it self can pull 250W you need at least 600W or more depending on the rest of your setup IE CPU, fans, hdd, sdd. Use a PSU calculator online
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Kiki, Depends what kind of system you're throwing this card into. If you have a higher end processor, then I would suggest upgrading your psu to at least 600W to be safe. Although you might be able to get away with a 500W psu, I strongly advise against it. Additionally, you would also need to make sure that your 500W psu has a 6+8 pin PCI-e cable that can plug into the end of this card. This is something that I'm not sure all power supplies of that wattage rating would have available. Finally, if you read the specs for the 2070 Gaming Z, it is recommended that you utilize a 550W psu.
