Personally you would want the monitor to be eye level instead of above eye level. I say that because your son neck will be at an awkward angle that will be a strain on his neck over time. Alternative purchases will be an L- shape computer desk with shelves in Amazon that will be future proof ready. Meaning if your son wanted to add another monitor or two plus a place for consoles or gaming pc.
