MSI - Optix MAG240VC 23.6" LED Curved FHD FreeSync Monitor - Black

I purchased my MSI monitor about a week ago, and I can already tell the difference in my computer’s performance. For starters, as someone who is upgrading from a 15” laptop, the curved 23.6” size does the job perfectly for me. I can have multiple programs open at a time and spread them across the screen without straining my eyes. The VA panel makes the picture very clear and the colors extremely vivid. The monitor itself looks extremely clean, especially with the edge-to-edge frameless display. As for my gaming experience, the 1-ms response time and 144 Hz refresh rate are seriously unbeatable for the price. I’m able to play high-FPS games with zero problems whatsoever. This monitor is legitimately a steal when you take price into account. I am always wary of things that sound too good to be true, but this is the real deal. 23.6”, curved display, 144 Hz and 1ms response for $200 – it doesn’t get much better than that. I would definitely recommend this monitor to anyone who needs a quality monitor for a low price.

This is my first and only gaming monitor and I must say the specs and the performance is top notch, for a monitor that’s only 200 bucks it is worth every penny. The curved monitor just makes it look sleek and slim, this monitor has 144HZ and 1ms response time, adjustable stand and a lot of other fun features. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone just getting into gaming monitors!!

I have had quite a journey with this monitor, I am making the transition from console to PC, and I wanted this to be my first monitor. I don't use FreeSync because it is basically the android of GPU, but the curved display, presets, on screen crosshairs make this a PC gamers dream. I am in love with the modes, from FPS game, Real time strategy, eye-saver mode, and more. The 144hz and 1ms response time is beautiful. I am grateful to have gotten this monitor for 170 dollars as it is quite impossible to get a monitor for this low price. HOWEVER it was too good to be true as the first monitor has a literal one inch slash/line of dead pixels that made me immediately return the monitor. I waited one week to receive this by in-store pickup, and had to wait another week for the replacement. When I exchanged the monitor no questions were asked and they immediately placed an order for my exchange. It arrived that following week and I opened it to find only one pixel. I had already just built my rig and had been gaming on a 720p tv, it was torture, so I just sucked it up and kept the one dead pixel. I decided to keep it because I did not want to wait another week for an other exchange and the dead pixel is on the bottom left corner out of view and is hardly noticeable. Other than the one dead pixel this monitor is absolutely beautiful and I thought the curved monitor aspect was a gimmick, but it is immersive and amazing for my first monitor.

I always feel like shopping for a gaming monitor is a chore, finding a monitor with good legit reviews is very difficult. A lot of reviews youll see list dead pixels or broken parts and that makes me wary as a buyer. I came across this monitor and it hit all the marks for me. Its 144hz (youll need a display port cable which is not included in the box to achieve 144hz), its curved which is really good for immersion and its got a great stand. My monitor took 15 minutes or less to assemble and worked easily and quickly right from the get go. The power and settings menu are very easy to operate. I give this monitor a big thumbs up and would highly recommend it!!

I would give it 4.5 stars. A little knock for small text being a little hard to read, but that’s typical for a VA panel. Great buy if you can find it on sale for $169 or around there. The curve is super mild, nothing crazy. I have two of these for work, and the 140hz is great for gaming, along with the freesync. Also love that it has multiple inputs. Display port for the computer and HDMI for a console. Also, user interface is Excellent!! One of the better ones out there. It has a small joystick-like selectee on the back bottom right corner. Only complaint would be that the joystick is a little to high up, slightly hard to reach... but that’s minor. Excellent stand too. Easy touch up and down, tilt, and rotation. If your on the fence, just do it.

This curved gaming monitor is so crisp and clear. Refresh rate is 144Hz, when I play online, it was amazing. I love the monitor stand, adjust any angle you want. I give it more than 5 stars. Beat all other brands by all other 24 inches monitor.

My main monitor, this is the best 144Hz monitor I've tried. Image looks good, so smooth, and it is CURVED! In the picture, it is the one on the right!
