When you are using both an Nvidia card and a displayport cable, you can achieve visible framerates up to 144Hz. Due to the monitor having Freesync, which is exclusive to AMD cards and not G-Sync, which is exclusive to Nvidia cards, you may experience some screen-tearing when your graphics card is outputting over 144 frames per second. However, you can turn on V-Sync in your game's settings to try and negate the amount of screen tearing. Also, some games allow you to set a frame-rate cap in-game, so I would suggest selecting 144 fps to keep a smooth experience.
