• Certainly will work anywhere, maybe not underwater.

• I have used at elevations of 7K and 10K and seems to work fine - although I have no means to recharge it when depleted at the 10K elevation.

• I don't think elevation would be an issue since its made for the rugged terrain and not pretty , sleek and shiny like some others.
