I recommend Google Nest. You have more options and more products you can access plus you can't go wrong with google it will be in business forever so your stuff will not be discontinued. It also easier to use and to setup.

I will have it set timers for baking, or pull up recipes, the weather, jokes, games, turn on the TV, random questions...anything.. I switched my iPhone for the Google Pixel2 when it came out and absolutely hated everything about it. I went back to Apple, but as far as Google Home for music, tasks, reminders, phone calls, find my phone, etc., I think it’s phenomenal!

In future you may want to replace your door bell or for locks or just thermostat, it will work with everything. Plus for smart lights, you don't need zigbee to WiFi translator. You can use ge bulbs. Reception is very very good. I can talk from other room and tell my mini to turn on lights. I will strongly recommend nest. The only thing I can think of fail cases is if you do Amazon tv. It cannot tell Amazon tv what to do.

Please try again later.never used an echo as I'm a Google fan, but the nest hub is great. love having the picture frame cycle through memories and stimulating conversation. also think the nest will be much better at responding to questions. I do the same thing, and other than learning how to phrase some questions to get the results your looking for, the Google eco system works great! (LOVE putting all our speakers into a "speaker group" and listening to music throughout the entire house!)

Echo has better techs than google and cheaper products. Idk what this guy said Google has more products lol Amazon owns the world and k I st the stuff in it at one point or another
