Yes. We had the same 1 router/1 point and had a weak spot in the house. Added the extra point and now signal is great everywhere. House is 2800 sq ft.

You can simply add additional Wifi points to your existing Google Nest Wifi mesh system. It doesn't matter whether you add a Nest Wifi router or a point. The difference is the coverage and that a Nwst Wifi point has a Google Assistant built-in. We recommend a maximum of 6 Wifi points in a single mesh setup including the primary router.
