No. The google nest replaced my router. It is connected to my modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nest Wifi router replaces your current router, and connects directly to your modem with an Ethernet cable. If you intend to keep your Netgear Wi-Fi router in the Wi-Fi network, you may run into a double NAT issue where both your current router and Nest Wifi router will be broadcasting their own private networks with identical SSID and password and might cause connectivity issues as well. We recommend setting up Nest Wifi as your primary router then disabling the Wi-Fi functionality of your current Netgear router and using it as a downstream switch or remove it from the network.
