Yes, Nest Wifi can work with the NVG589 router box. Since you have a modem/router combo, here's what you can do to set it up: - Put your NVG589 router box in Bridge mode by turning off its Wi-Fi functionality to avoid a Double NAT. If you need help with it, we recommend contacting your service provider. - Wire your Nest Wifi router to the modem/router combo via Ethernet cable. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t have ATT but Xfinity and I bought this router with one repeater. I disabled the wifi on my Xfinity modem and connected Google’s directly to it and installed the repeater downstairs. My connection improved a lot through all the house. I guess you can do something similar by disabling the wifi of your current modem before hooking nest to it.
