• Yes, use the ethernet connector. I also recommend putting your router into bridge mode to lighten its load and making your router perform your subscription and wifi operations. It should extend the life of your modem. Ask your ISP for instructions.

• Nest Wifi can work with your modem/router combo. You'll connect it using Ethernet cable to get internet connection. In order to avoid a possible Double NAT, we recommend to put your modem/router combo in Bridge Mode.

• I think so. My Nest router has only two plug points on the base. One cable goes to my modem, one hardwired to my desktop. It may depend on your modem brand, though.
