Have 4 port modem router combo, plug Ethernet cat 6 from router to new switch--to computer also switch to smart Roku Netflix TV, computer works, TV says no internet found also no ip address. Why? Ethernet cable is good. Is there way to make it work? Thx null

That is correct. You should have data on all of those ports of the switch. Maybe the tv is still trying to connect wirelessly.

I had a similar problem when I connected my Ethernet cable to the switch’s yellow “internet” socket. Once I switched to port #1, powered down then up the switch. It allocated the proper ip range number (192.168.x.x). If your getting an ip number that’s not like the rest of your network, try a different port or turn off & on the device. Once set & working, you do not have to mess with it again. Good luck.
