• Has no effect on the speed of your service, but properly positioned it will extend the range of your WiFi.

• Just boost your existing Wifi to an area that you are currently able to reach. It shouldn't have any impact on your DSL that I assume is feeding your WiFi router. Hoep that this is of help.
