am sure it's for windows PC,try go to your tv manufacturer website enter your tv model then search for the compatible USB adapter.

not necessary this product but wifi in general, lots of info is needed, firmware make model of tv, etc

It depends on your TV. If your TV says that it'll use a wifi network from an adapter plugged into its USB port, then there's no good reason this wouldn't work.

All I can tell you for sure is he is extremely competitive in league of Legends and a couple other on line games he plays. His laptop would not always keep up the frame rate he needed to be competitive. This has not been a problem with his system and this wireless unit.
