The optimum location for a WiFi router is center of the structure and as high as possible. In the basement is not a good location especially if you are experiencing weak spots around the house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Every house is different structurally with various interferences but I can get my signal in the driveway 5 houses down from my house (standard housing development).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was sdvised to place the router high up off the floor and in a central location. I'm not sure if you can get a type of amplifier to boost the signal. I wish I could help further. Check whether the company has this; especially if they are promoting to meet your needs. My last resort is to check with Best Buy's customer service or HQ after all they are promoting the product too and may intervene on your behalf. As a last resort, Google your exact question and someone may have a better idea. Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure whether you are having trouble connecting your modem with the internet or your wireless router with the devices in your house. We get very solid internet service. The unit is located on the middle floor of our three-level 2000 square foot home and we get three bars in the most distant bedroom. Given that, you may have trouble getting a signal from your basement to the farthest reaches of your house. You may need a repeater.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Possibly, I get excellent range from mine and I have a three level unit, but mine is on the 2nd floor. I get great range outside, that's why I think it will work from your basement, but I would suggest installing on the next floor up.
