“I saw 1 question where a person asked if one of the satellites could be wired Ethernet to the main router. It was answered no, that it had to be wifi communication between them. Then a person said they did hard wire it. So can it be done or no?”

The satellite has two ethernet connections so presumably you coud hard wire the satellite to the router. I have a wired LAN in my house but never tried to connect the satellites direcly to the LAN. I always set is up wirelessly. I have several devices wired to the satellites and the connections work fine (several of the devices are hard-wire only). But when you power up the satellite it automatically looks for the router wirelessly so I am not sure if I would know when it was wirelessly connected and when it was using the wired connection. Presumably there is some indication on the router homepage but I haven't looked for it.
