“Have an old modem that is not working right. This home is built way above the high end home in area. The walls are 2 feet thick in most rooms, also the rooms are big and hard to get a good signals anywhere. House about 4400 sq ft. Any ideas”

According to the specs of this router it can work in a 5000 sq. ft. area. I would say you need something with a larger range since the walls are that thick. Or check out a Mesh system router this may be a better choice .
