“Does this router a combo that works as a modem also, so I don't have to buy spearet modem?”

• No it does not it is a router only. It’s best to have the modem and router separate. Currently I’m using the Modem Spectrum sent. I was impressed with this router and Nighthawk App from the App Store was impressive. You don’t need it but it is a nice advantage for free.
