Yes, this router can be used with Century Link.

Yes if you have a modem from them or your own that is certified to work with century link then all you do is plug in the eithernet cable to the router. This is just a router not a modem

It appears that century link is an internet service provider. I’m not familiar with this isp but I would say talk to them to determine what router is compatible with them. With respect to this nighthawk router it suites my needs and I haven’t had any problems with it. I chose this router because it provides three bands two 5ghz and one 2.4ghz. The price I thought was a little high but you get what you pay for. Bottom line do the research to determine what suites your needs.
