Step 1 is to ask your ISP (internet service provider) if they can register a self-purchased modem. If they can then get the one they recommend, hook it up to the internet cable and call them to register your modem then link in the wireless router to the modem- I got the orbi wireless router from netgear and love it as it is pleasing on the eye and you have the booster included to get the strong signal out where you may need a boost.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the Orbi router and the ARRIS Surfboard docsis 3.0 modem. Works great together so far.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Orbi 2200 package only comes with the router and an extender that works with the router. If Spectrum allows it, the 2200 should be able to work with the Spectrum modem. If they do not allow it, Spectrum should allow you to purchase your own modem. It's normally cheaper to buy a modem than monthly payments to the provider.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi BigG, depending on your service area and plan with Spectrum, you should be able to purchase a cable/modem router that will meet your needs. We offer several, and you can check with your provider to determine which are compatible (I included some recommendations but again you will want to verify with your provider which may be supported.) Orbi, however, does not provide modem functionality--so if you want to use Orbi, you'd need a cable modem, whether from NETGEAR or your provider. We hope this helps!
