• No, you would need to be able to connect this to a modem or other network gear with an ethernet cable. If you are connecting wirelessly to an existing WiFi network this will not work. you may be able to use a range extender that could increase your range if that is what you are trying to do.

• If your hotspot has a cat5 cable outlet, it should work

• I think you will need an Ethernet cable for it to work effectively. you may be able to plug in an ethernet cable from a wireless/ethernet extender, not sure if it has a passthrough mode.

• call Netgear I connected my Orbi directly to my sudden link router so not sure for you but Netgear would know
