No the oribi can only work with the router orbi because the satellite works off 3 bands so it's a slave to the router orbi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No you can't. You will need at least an Orbi router for the satellite to work. You can use the Orbi router and one satellite as an access point by putting the Orbi router in AP mode. The router also has 3 ethernet ports and the satellite 4 ethernet ports as well. You turn off the wireless single on the Nighthawk router and let your Orbi provide all the network access. The Nighthawk would still perform all the routing functions and port forwarding etc.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The satellite requires a base to work to my knowledge. If you are getting this model it gives around “2500 sqft”. Paired with the other orbi kits you would get more range than that nighthawk.
