These do not convert Ethernet into WiFi. These convert Ethernet into your junction box in your home and sends the signal through your 120V wiring in your home. What you need for an Ethernet to WiFi to a device would be a wireless modem or wireless router. For instance: you could use these to take your Ethernet signal from an office upstairs - plug one into the wall and into your modem. Then plug the secondary powerline adapter into the other room (down stairs, garage, ect.) that you want your internet’s Ethernet signal in. From there you can use another wireless router or even a wireless access point depending on your router - to have WiFi to your devices. This is typically how I’ve used them in the past. I hope this helped!
