This device is designed to distribute your current internet service providers signal across multiple devices, via Wi-Fi or cable, assuming you configure it properly.

Short answer: No. You need to know what you are doing to set this router up. The setup and configuration is not for a beginner.

As long as you have internet service, yes you can. You connect this unit to the internet providers coaxial based internet box through the lan port.

No you don't automatically get internet. This is a device that will turn your wired internet into wireless internet.

You can't be kidding. No, you need to get Internet service, and connect the Internet Modem (provided by the Internet service provider) to this router by way of a cable (provided by the Asus router purchase)
