There are some, but only small differences. One being that it includes both games, Super Mario Bros. U and Super Luigi U. Another being Toadette is now a playable character, and Nabbit is playable in both Super Mario Bros U and Super Luigi U. I think thats mostly it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.From what I can tell, no. It seems to be the exact same game, only optimized for Switch and includes the Luigi DLC. I just finished the main game 100% completion last night, and did not recall ANY new elements for the Switch version.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The main difference is that you can play as Toadette and Nabbit from Super Luigi U. Nabbit does not take any damage, so he's great for an entry level player. Toadette is the only character able to use the Super Crown power-up, turning her into Peachette, a Peach-like character who has the same float ability, as well as a double jump AND an auto recovery if you fall into a pit! HOWEVER, the auto recovery technique only works once per stage, so be careful!

She can float and has crisper jumping. You also lose the touch screen multiplayer feature where you could tap the WiiU gamepad and make platforms appear.
