“My opening has plenty of width for this cooler but less than an inch of extra height. will the cooler work properly with that little space around it for air to circulate?”

Thank you for contacting Newair. I apologize, the unit NWC023SS00 is a stand-alone cooler and is not recommend to be placed into a space or under the counter as it will affect the function of the cooler. Best Regards, Customer Care
