Rear only. It plugs into the forward facing camera.

However, you will need a compatible front facing Nextbase dash cam to connect this rear view camera to. I have a Nextbase 522W dash cam and I bought and connected this additional rear view camera to have additional recorded coverage and never had an issue with setting it up. Check out the Nextbase dash cams and see which dash cam fits your budget.
