The NVR has built-in Wi-Fi, which is how it communicates with the cameras. Internet is only needed for remote viewing. To remotely view, you would need to hardwire the NVR to a working network access point (such as a router) using the provided Ethernet cable. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
