• You only have to hook it up to the internet (w/ ethernet cable) if you want to be able to use the app on your phone. If you dont plan on using your phone you can just hook the main device to your TV or whatever monitor you want to use. Then hook up the cables to the cameras and you are good to go. We dont use the app, so we just hooked it up to our TV and look thru everything that way. Great system we love it!

• The camera connects to the recorder using BNC cables. The Bluetooth feature is just for making setup simple.
