Yes, the system can operate as a CCTV system without Internet. However, you would be limited to local viewing from a TV or monitor as Internet is required to remotely view on a Smart Device or computer. You can switch the cameras to 24/7 record, if you choose. Thank you!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I use mine without internet. I have the DVR connected directly to a TV (HDMI cable is even included) where we can review footage. I leave my cameras (I'm using 3) on 24/7. We are trying to document someone who is ... inappropriately interested... in my family and parking in front of our house in the wee hours. You will want to turn the "motion activated light" off. It's a little quirky to do so, but it's in the settings menu under "camera", and I think the third selection down (on the left side of the page) gets you to that group of settings. Reviewing footage you can advance in 1-hr increments easily, to jump to certain time ranges. Then you can watch in "FFWD" at 2x, 4x, 6x or 8x speed. So you can cover an hour of recording in about 5 minutes. And if you see something you want to watch in more detail, you just go back to normal speed and back up a minute or two. You can view in several different window arrangements - 8 squares, 4 squares, one big square with 8 little squares (and clicking on a little square makes IT the new big square). The user interface is a little clunky...but we figured it out without too much trouble. It may be easier to navigate through the web/app interface, but I haven't set that up yet. Hope that helps.
