• As long as you have it connected to the Internet, there is an app for your smartphone or for the computer that you can use to view your cameras. This takes some initial configuration and setting up an account with nightowl, which is free. You can also set it up to do notifications based on alerts for movement etc. All configuration for the box has to be done on the DVR itself with a monitor attached and mouse, so make sure you have everything configured the way you want it, before you leave it. Overall I'm pretty happy with it.
