QuestionAre these cameras powered by BNC cables or are they Power Over Ethernet/ CAT5?

- Answer Each wired camera will come with a 60 ft. Video/Power cable for connectivity. The video portion will connect directly to the back of the DVR and the power portion will connect to a camera power adapter. We include 1 camera power adapter and 1 4-way power splitter per every 4 cameras. That way, 1 camera power adapter can power up to 4 wired cameras. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

QuestionWill this system notify you when something has caused sensor to go off?

- Answer By default, your Night Owl system is set to record when human motion is detected by one of the cameras. If a camera detects human motion within the cameras field of view, a recording is generated and stored on your hard drive. If enabled, a push alert is sent to your Smart Device via our Free mobile App. The record settings for your device can be adjusted within the Main Menu, should you wish to alter the settings for one or more cameras. QuestionSince there are 8 cameras, does it mean each one has it own cord that lead to the main box or there's just one cord that leaves the main box then distributes to the rest of the cameras? Secondly, are these cameras all weather proof? what's max & min temp?

- Answer Yes, this is a wired DVR system and includes all needed cables to get the system up and running. This includes but is not limited to BNC Video/Power cables (1 per camera), an HDMI cable and Ethernet cable. The cameras are weather-resistant with a rating of IP-65. The operating temp. range of the cameras is -4 to 140 degrees F. Thank you!

Questionevery month I get a error that my tokens have expired, I have called the tech. and they walk me through the steps and say its all fixed and it won't happen again, but every month my security goes out telling me my tokens have expired.

QuestionCan this be used without wifi??

- Answer Your Night Owl device only needs to be connected to a modem/router if you wish to view it remotely on a PC/MAC or a Smart Device. To remotely view your system, you must manually connect an Ethernet cable from your modem/router to the DVR/NVR. If you do not want remote viewing, you can connect the system to a TV or monitor to view live video feed and recordings. Thanks for choosing Night Owl!
