- Answer Yes. This DVR can accommodate up to an 8TB hard drive, though it only comes with a 1TB hard drive. Its compatible with internal SATA HDD's, 2.5" or 3.5" min. 7200 RPM. Thank you!

- Answer When human motion is detected, this system will send an alert to your Smart Device notifying you one of your cameras has detected an occurrence. You can tap on the alert to view live footage of that camera and playback the recording. Thank you!

QuestionAbout how long can you run 4 cameras 24/7 without having to delete. I dont find it picks up motion until close to camera. And I work away, so I'd like it to stay recording.

- Answer Likely you will achieve 7 to 10 days with 4 cameras on the 1 TB HDD. If you are having an issue with the motion detection, please check the sensitivity settings of that camera. You can adjust each camera to be more sensitive or less to motion events. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

- Answer The only way these wired cameras can be jammed is if there's an exposed wire outside that connects the camera, but if you have inside jobs done like people breaking connections or disconnecting wires unintentionally or not that's another way they disconnect

- Answer Yes, you can switch the recording mode from motion to continuous, to record 24/7. Keep in mind, this will eat through your available hard drive space at a much quicker rate. Once the hard drive becomes full, it is set to auto-overwrite old footage. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!
