Yes, this will work with a D7500. The lens mounts for DX and and FX cameras are the same. This is an FX format lens, however, so the zoom range will be something like 300 - 750. I've read that it might not produce as sharp a picture on a DX camera. I have not verified that myself, though. Your f-stop will increase proportionately, too, if used on a DX format camera. For me, so far so good. I use it on an FX format camera and like the results so far.

Sure it’s ok to use an DX Nikon camera with an FX lens though it will crop image a tad is doable ! It’s more intended for a Full Frame Nikon. Good luck !
