Is this lens compatible with a Nikon, 5000 camera null

I have no personal experience with the D5000; however, I checked my standard reference in these matters, Ken Rockwell at https://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/200-500mm.htm#compat. He says it is, so I would think that it is. You may find the weight of the lens heavy after handling the DX lenses. I’m using it on a D7500 at the present and compared to the 70-300, it is heavy.
