No. The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR is not compatible with the D200 DSLR camera because it is an E-type lens. E-type lenses have an electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism that will not communicate aperture information electronically and thereby cannot be used with film SLR cameras and select DSLR cameras.
