• Yes. Given that the D7200 is has a crop sensor, the effective focal length for the 200-500mm would actually be 300-750mm, giving you a longer reach and therefore gets you “closer” to the subject. The lens has pretty good optics, although it may not be as good as the more expensive lenses.

• Nikon’s website shows compatibility. I recommend using a teleconverter which will increase to 700mm.
