• No, the COOLPIX B500 is a compact digital camera. Product names for Nikon DSLRs start with the letter D, like D5600 or D850. If you are just starting out take a look at the D3400, which is our entry-level DSLR and which is sold in kits with one or more lenses. Other DSLRs may be sold without a lens (body only) so if you don't have access to any NIKKOR lenses be sure to look for kits or bundles that include lenses.
