What is the zoom null

The zoom is 40 x, optical and 4x digital. Optical brings the picture 40 times closer, and digital zoom amplify it 4 x the size digitally

The Nikon COOLPIX P900 digital camera has an angle of view equivalent to that of a 24-2000mm (4.3-357mm) lens in 35mm (135) format. It also has approximately 8,000mm in 35mm (135) format when digital zoom is set at 4x, which is the maximum zoom it can reach.
