So I had a d3200 and the lens that came with that one fit on my new d3400. I have also seen online that you can buy adapters to fit other brand lenses on these SLRs so that might be another option. If you really want to be 100% sure I would take one of your lenses into the store and ask one of the digital SLRs associates if you can try it on the body of the camera that you plan on buying. As far as the rate the camera takes pictures it not only depends on the camera it also depends on the lens and the memory card. If you use the stock camera lens that comes with it (18mm-55mm) and shoot in manual mode you can shoot up to 1/4000 of a second for a single picture if you want to shoot consecutively you might get 4-5 pictures per second, which is fast. Now for the memory cards, there are a ton of memory cards out there but if you want to take quick pictures you want to get a 32gb with a speed of at least 80mb/s. The way thay they basically work is just like transferring files to a PC, if you're trying to transfer a huge file it will take longer and the more transfer speed you have the faster it will work. That's how the memory card will work, if you get a regular cheap memory card its most likely going to be mb/s which is slow for an SLR. If you get something a little better you will notice the difference right away. The write speed will help you get faster pictures saved into the card.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Nikon D3400 DSLR camera has a top continuous shooting speed of 5 frames per second at full resolution. Other DSLR cameras may offer more or less FPS than this. The D3400 is fully compatible with Nikon AF-S, AF-P and newer E-type lenses, so if your older lenses are any of these types they will work without limitation on this camera. Nikon AI and AF-type lenses are also able to be used but must be focused manually as the Nikon D3400 doesn't have a built-in focus motor.
