Q: QuestionI am trying to download pics to my computer. What kind of HDMI cord do I use?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The images are not transferred via an HDMI cable. The correct cable for transferring images is the UC-E20 USB Cable, which is not supplied with the Nikon D3400 kit. Images can also be transferred to the computer by taking the SD card out of the camera and placing it in a card reader. An additional option for transfer is to use the camera's built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to send images to a compatible smart device running the SnapBridge application. Q: QuestionHow would the Nikon D3400 DSLR be for taking close up photographs of a firearms collection? Would it show good color and detail like small serial numbers, etc? Also do I have to purchase a flash and a memory card for this camera, or does it come with one.
Asked by Bill.
- A:Answer The Nikon D3400 DSLR camera is great at taking close-ups and has a built-in flash. The Close Up scene mode on this camera allows you to get super sharp and vibrant images of small objects at close ranges, however, the built-in flash can not be used in the macro range of zoom lenses as the minimum range of the flash is 0.6m (2 feet). A separate flash may be needed in such instances, if a flash is necessary, or you may want to look into purchasing macro lenses. Flashes and memory cards do not come with this two lens kit, but can be purchased separately.

Q: Questioni like this cam and lens but i am a little concern of the 70-300mm lens as it does not come with VR will it still take good pics as the one without the VR?? compare to the one with VR but is AF-S...
Asked by SL.
- A:Answer The Nikon D3400 DSLR camera kit listed here includes an AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED lens that uses a pulse motor (utilizing stepping motors) to focus smoother and quieter than previous drive systems. This lens is an amazingly quiet and fast lens but it does not have Vibration Reduction. The AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR lens, which is not included in any current kit, offers approximately 4.0 stops. The Nikon D3400 does come as a single lens kit with an AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens and the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR lens can be purchased separately from this kit to create an AF-P, VR lens bundle.
