Does this camera have automatic focus? null

The D3400 camera body does not feature a built-in focus motor, so lenses with built-in focus motors are required for autofocus on this camera. The AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens included with this kit features a built-in focus motor and will autofocus on the D3400. When considering other NIKKOR lenses to use with the D3400 look for lenses that have the AF-S or AF-P designation.

Yep. Some of that depends on the lens, but if you are using the kit lens, it has pretty decent auto focus. I heard the auto focus it isn't the best for video, but since I shoot stills, I can't speak personally for how well it works for video.
