• It depends on what version of 18-300mm lens you're using. The AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR (Product 2196) uses the HB-58 Bayonet Lens Hood while the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR (Product 2216) uses the HB-39 Bayonet Lens Hood.

• I have just bought a preowned 18-300 3.5-6.3 Dx Lens & it came with Nikon HB-64 which works perfectly
