• According to the directions and recommendations, yes you should. I have done it that way in an effort to not push my luck. The drive on this unit is strong and has great torque/strength. Goes through ginger like butter. I will not say yes or no but you could try. The reason the might recommend not using the peals is a clogging issue. Either way this is a really nice unit and works perfect! Enjoy!
