Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think ventilation is good where any oven is concerned. If something burns, for example, you'd want to be able to vent any smoke or fumes. If your basement has windows or some kind of reliable ventilation, it would probably be okay. The oven does get pretty warm, so just make sure it's on a hard, non-flammable surface with lots of air flow around it.
