• it has a 3 prong (grounded) plug. You can use an adapter but make sure you attach that to the center screw of the receptacle cover so it gets grounded.

• 3 prong, i advise not using adapter draws more current then regular toaster oven, 3rd prong is ground-neutral for safety reason

• The unit has a three prong plug. I don't know if an adapter plug would be viable, but it may not be advisable for an 1800 watt appliance such as this.
