“Is the sear plate Teflon coated? If so, is there a non-teflon alternative I can use?”

• I called Ninja up and they said that all of their products are teflon-free. So far my pet bird has been healthy with this in use, so that's a good sign. They are sensitive to chemicals in the air.

• I don't know what the coating is but it's non-stick. Doubt that is teflon as I haven't heard about that coating for years.
