• You set the timer when you turn it on as soon as it’s done preheating it immediately starts counting down. Once the time is up it stops heating but I usually turn it off and unplug it after I’m done to let it cool but it does display the word HOT on it even when not on but plugged in after use

• Yes, you set a timer and when the set cook time is complete the toaster oven turns off.

• No tomer. You set it how long ro cook ect and then it turns off.
