• Yes, this coffee maker does need to be descaled periodically. The Intelligent Clean Cycle Indicator will automatically illuminate orange when a cleaning cycle is recommended. You can use a descaling solution or a mixture of white vinegar and water, following the instructions in the user manual to complete the cycle.
